Understanding Agency Markup in Displayce

    Agency markup modification rules

    • The agency mark-up can only be set at campaign creation.
    • Once a campaign is in draft or planned status, modifications can only be made by contacting clients@displayce.com with the new rate. Please note that processing may take several days.
    • Alternatively, you can create a new campaign with the updated rate.

    Introduction

Managing campaigns and calculating your revenue as an agency can be tedious, repetitive, and prone to errors. That’s why Displayce is here to help!

We’ve developed a seamless budget allocation process to secure your revenue and save you time:

    Key features

    • Automated Calculations:

Simply input your client’s total budget and agency fee rate. Our platform automatically calculates the committed budget (what you will be billed for) and allocates it among media costs, DSP fees, and other expenses—no extra effort required.

At step 3 of a line item (Buying), the platform also uses the total budget including agency fees to calculate cappings — whether you're using automatic or suggested manual capping. This ensures pacing aligns with your revenue expectations as an agency.

    • Adjusted CPMs :

The platform provides you with adjusted CPMs that integrate your fee to align with the reduced budget, so that you can confidently communicate them to your client.

    • Integrated Dashboards:

Easily track your revenue, campaign expenses, and performance metrics, all in one place.

With Displayce, you can focus on crafting exceptional DOOH campaigns while we take care of the calculations.

How is the Agency Fee Calculated?

Currently, Displayce uses a markup method to calculate agency fees.  This means your advertizer has agreed to pay you what you are charged by Displayce (Committed budget) and a percentage of it.

For example, if your advertizer and you have agreed on a 50% markup rate and you are charged by Displayce of 1000 €, it means the campaign total budget will be :

Total budget = Committed budget + Committed budget * Agency markup rate

                            = 1000 + 1000*50%

                           = 1500€

    Glossary:

    - Committed budget

The amount Displayce charges you, covering:

    • Media costs (impressions).
    • Data fees (third-party data).
    • Service fees (e.g., Brand Lift, Mobile Retargeting).
    • DSP fees (Displayce’s margin).

    - Total budget

Total price you charge your clients for the campaign you manage.

Total budget = Committed budget + Agency fees

    - Agency fees

It refers to the profit you will gain. It's a percentage on the committed budget.

Agency fees = Total budget - Committed budget.

Step-by-Step Guide to Using the Feature in Displayce’s DSP

    1. Create a New Campaign:

      • Set up your agency markup rate in the "Advanced Settings" section.
    2. Create line items and allocate budgets across your line items:

      • If you only need one line item for your campaign, allocate the total budget entirely to the "Line Item Budget" field.
      • If you need to create multiple line items (for example 1 line item per venue type), distribute the total budget across the line items.
    3. Automatic Calculations:
      • The platform will calculate the committed budget and agency fees.
      • Adjusted CPMs reflecting the agency fee will also be displayed.

    4. Publish Your Line Item:

Once published, all financial metrics on the campaign summary page will include the agency fee.

    5. Track Metrics in Reports:

Once the campaign is live,  you can access the reporting section to monitor campaign metrics, including agency fees.
